Zootown Festival

Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to a festival website, and a festival, that everyone can use.

Last reviewed: October 25, 2026

Zootown, LLC strives to ensure that its digital services are accessible to people with disabilities. Zootown, LLC is working to help ensure access for all users, including people with disabilities, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.

Digital accessibility is not just a target we aim to achieve, but an ongoing commitment that we carry in every aspect of our digital service delivery. We recognize that this requires continuous monitoring, improvement, and adaptation. The sections below describe what we do, the standard we work toward, and how to get help.

Our goal is for the Site to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We test the Site with a combination of automated tools and manual review, including testing with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation, and we fix issues as we find them. We also offer an optional UserWay toolbar that lets visitors adjust contrast, text size and other display settings. It supplements, and does not replace, our work on the Site itself.

Third-party content and alternatives. Some content is provided by third parties, including our ticketing provider’s checkout, embedded social media and video, and venue maps. We work with these partners on accessibility, but we do not control all of their content. If you have trouble with any part of the Site or the ticket purchase process, contact us and we will help you complete your purchase or get the information another way, at no extra cost.

Accessibility at the Festival

On-site access. Zootown Festival is held outdoors at the Missoula Fairgrounds. Festival grounds include grass, gravel and some uneven terrain. We offer accessible viewing areas, wheelchair-accessible and companion seating in our reserved seating sections, accessible restrooms, accessible parking and drop-off. Service animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, are welcome.

Accessible seating and companion tickets. Wheelchair-accessible seats and companion seats are available in each reserved seating section and price level, at the same prices and through the same sales channels as other seats. You may buy an accessible seat together with up to three companion seats. To purchase please contact us by emailing us at info@zootownfestival.com.

Requests and accommodations. To request an accommodation, such as American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation, captioning or assistance getting around the site, please contact us at least four weeks before the Festival so we can arrange it. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate later requests.

Access Center. Our Accessibility Tent, located just inside the main entrance, is open from gates-open until close each day. Visit it for accessible viewing wristbands, sensory kits, hearing protection, charging for power wheelchairs and scooters, refrigerated storage for medication, and help with any accommodation.

Entry, bags and re-entry. We offer an accessible entry lane at each gate. Medication, medical supplies and equipment, mobility aids, and medically necessary food and drink are permitted even where the bag policy would otherwise restrict them, and are subject to normal security screening. If you need to leave and re-enter for a medical reason, tell staff at the Accessbility Tent or gate.

Accessible viewing platforms. Accessible viewing platforms and seats are located at each main stage for guests with disabilities who need them, with space for one companion. Platforms are first-come, first-served and may reach capacity during peak sets; if a platform is full, Accessibility staff will help you find another accessible viewing position.

Wheelchairs and mobility devices. Manual and power wheelchairs are welcome everywhere guests may go. Other power-driven mobility devices, such as mobility scooters, are permitted unless a specific area cannot safely accommodate them, in which case staff will help you with an alternative.

Service animals. Service animals are dogs individually trained to perform a task for a person with a disability. Staff may ask only whether the dog is required because of a disability and what task it has been trained to perform. Emotional support, therapy and comfort animals are not service animals and are not permitted.

Sensory access. The Festival includes loud music, large crowds, and strobe lighting and potentially pyrotechnics at some stages. We provide a quiet space at the Glacier Rink, and free hearing protection.

Alerts and emergencies. Important safety and schedule updates are sent by text message and app notification and shown on screens, not only announced over the public address system. If you may need help in an emergency or evacuation, please let the Accessibility staff know when you arrive.

Getting here. Information about public transit and paratransit to the Missoula Fairgrounds is on our Directions page.

Your information and alternate formats. Information you share with us about a disability or accommodation is used only to provide the accommodation and is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Festival maps, schedules and this statement are available in large print or another accessible format on request.
